Medical Director and Veterinarian
Dr. Danielle Peters Nickens earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and has 14 years of experience in small animal medicine. She is dedicated to continuous professional growth, with advanced training in dental surgery, radiography, and surgical techniques for Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS).
Early in her career, Dr. Nickens provided veterinary care for the pets of military families in her hometown of Fayetteville. For the past 12 years, she has served the Raleigh community, driven by a deep commitment not only to her patients’ health but also to the bond they share with their families.
Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and their dog, Mabel. A former collegiate softball player at Appalachian State University, Dr. Nickens is an enthusiastic supporter of Raleigh’s local sports scene.
