Veterinarian
Dr. Lora Evans was born in Bettendorf, Iowa, and was raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she graduated first in her class from West Rowan High School. Dr. Evans attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Johnston Scholar, played varsity tennis, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology. She then graduated from the Veterinary School at North Carolina State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Evans is active in both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and has served on the Ethics Committee for the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. She has developed a particular interest in skin diseases, cardiology, endocrine diseases, and geriatric medicine. At last count, Dr. Evans had four dogs: Logan, Lydia, Juan Pablo Montoya, and William. She enjoys basketball, cycling, gardening, and tennis.
